“ It is not about forcing scripture to fit our life… It is about living your life guided by scripture. “

The same yesterday, today and forever
Where do we start when we need a “miracle”?
In the Bible, a miracle is an extraordinary and supernatural event that reveals God’s power and presence as they reflect God’s love, compassion, and mercy. These miracles often show God’s divine nature and authority, strengthening our faith and belief.
The Bible describes a wide range of miraculous events from the Old into the New Testament, including:
- The creation of the universe and all living things
- The parting of the Red Sea to allow the Israelites to escape from Egypt
- The multiplication of bread and fish to feed a large crowd
- The healing of the sick and the blind
- The casting out of demons from possessed individuals
- The resurrection of the dead
IF
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Heb 13:8 ;
Then what stops my “Miracle” today?
Also, in the Bible, we are told of certain factors stopping miracles from being done. Here are a few examples:
- Lack of faith: Matthew 13:58 states, “And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.” This verse refers to Jesus’ visit to his hometown, where the people did not believe in him or his teachings, preventing him from performing many miracles.
- Unrepentant sin: Mark 6:5-6 states, “He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith.” This verse refers to Jesus’ visit to Nazareth, where the people rejected him and his teachings and were unrepentant of their sins, which prevented him from performing many miracles in their midst.
- Unbelief and disobedience: In Hebrews 3:19, it is stated, “So we see that they were not able to enter because of their unbelief.” This verse refers to the Israelites in the wilderness who could not enter the Promised Land due to disobedience and lack of faith in God.
The Bible helps us understand, certain conditions, such as lack of faith, unrepentant sin, unbelief, and disobedience, could prevent miracles from being done.
However, it is essential to note that miracles are ultimately at the discretion of God and are not caused by specific conditions or actions.
The New Testament emphasizes that faith should not be based on miracles but on the message of Christ, the promises of God, and the teachings of the Bible.
The Bible also reminds us hindrances can be internal, such as doubt, fear, and unbelief, or external, such as the influence of demonic forces or negative attitudes of people around us.
So many hindrances of today’s culture and beliefs make it seem like miracles are of the past but this is not true.
While our culture may have changed, God has not, and one of the biggest “Miracles” of today is the miracle of Salvation.
Lastly, we must surrender our will and desires to God’s will. In Luke 22:42, Jesus prays, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me, yet not my will but yours be done.” This shows us that even Jesus, the Son of God, had to submit His will to the Father’s will.
When we align our will with God’s will, we position ourselves for miracles to happen in our lives.
In conclusion, the Bible guides how to experience miracles in our lives. We must have faith, confess our sins, and surrender our will to God’s will. By doing so, we can overcome the hindrances that prevent miracles from happening and experience the supernatural power of God in our lives.
